The hotel is positioned at an altitude of 180m and is surrounded by the sea. The site covers a total area of 8000ha and the buildings cover an area of 15000m2 consisting of 38 independent suites with private swimming pools and central customer service buildings: porte-cochere, reception, restaurants, spa, wellness and relaxation pools, gyms, library, bar and multi-use halls.
The buildings as well as the central area of “Acropolis” are cladded with 30000m2 of natural stone from the nearby quarry. The premises are powered by a substation that is supported by a power generator of 1500/1650kVA and have external water supply, watering and drainage network systems that lead to the biological treatment of the site. Extensive-type planting areas are integrated in the bioclimatic design of the project. New plants and indigenous trees from the Greek landscape enhance the dominant presence of olive trees which get transferred and replanted back to their original environment.
The hotel is called AMANZOE and is the newest addition to the luxurious hotels chain AMAN RESORTS. The name AMANZOE comes from the Sanskrit word for “Peace” and the Greek word for “Life.” Located on a hill surrounded by olive groves, it offers 360-degree panoramic view of the sea, Spetses island and the Saronikos Gulf, whereas the architectural style includes references to the history and culture of the country. The entrance to the Acropolis with the impressive porte-cochere prefigures the guest for the entire aesthetic whole viewing a mirror-like pool, which reflects the sky to the robust and simple architecture of the resort. The water element dominates all over the place each one of the 38 pavilion of the hotel having its own private pool. Built on different levels, in order to ensure privacy and uninterrupted views, enclosed courtyards with high walls are cladded with natural stone, leading to spacious high-ceilinged rooms, a combination of wood and marble. The central buildings cover every need consisting of Lounge Bar, Pool Restaurant, Library, Gym & Yoga and a huge space for Relaxation and Wellness. Very close to the hotel complex, in just five minutes’ drive, the Beach Club, with its four exclusive ultra-luxurious cabanas for club members and guests, is located in front of a beautiful bay with bright turquoise waters.
